  • Passive Consumer #1 ZINE

Passive Consumer #1 is the title of the first zine brought to you from the band Debris Slide. It is in celebration of our third gig supporting Internet Forever and Her Parents which was our first attempt at promoting a show. It features art by our good friend Tara Hill, a guide to Football Manager tactics by James, a drawing of John Cusack by Harry and a cartoon done on paint by Luke. With it comes these four songs which you can listen to of your own free will.

Includes unlimited streaming of Passive Consumer #1 via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

about

Here is a little description about each of the songs.

1: Phil Elverum, I'm Sorry: I (James) went to see Mount Eerie twice last week in Sheffield and Manchester, this is about meeting Phil Elverum and not being sure if he was annoyed that I asked if he was going to play any Microphones songs in Manchester, which he did, he played Ice it was amazing. Anyway I felt like a total dick afterwards, don't meet your heroes. This was recorded straight into my laptop microphone, in my room Friday 24th May.

2: Gone: This is a song written by Luke on his laptop, I wish we knew how to play this cos it's proper good.

3. My Chest Is Empty (Eric's Trip cover): I don't do this any justice, either way Eric's Trip are criminally under rated, check them out.

4. 22 (Taylor Swift cover): We all love Taylor Swift (apart from that song she's done with Ed Sheeran urgh). Tried to do this in practice a few weeks ago but it didn't really work out cos I couldn't stop laughing. Harry and I decided to do this just guitar and bass straight into my laptop mic again in our flat just for fun. Do not question our DIY punk ethics, alright?
